Day 73

I weighed myself Thursday morning and my scale has not moved since Monday and I read some negative low carb don't work stuff. How did I deal with it?  I broke down and ate two single chicken nuggets from McD's that wandered in and 3 oz of Pepper Jack Cheese and a bowl of Beef Stew on top of what I ate. I had to hold myself back from eating more..Almost ate a sandwich and let the beef stew (high salt content from the bouillion) memories torment me by wanting another bowl. I finally am getting a grip on the thoughts so I got on here to tell and schedule this for Friday's blog post. I am going for a walk with the g babies, too. Walk off my guilt and frustrations.

With that in mind, here is some entertainment.

On a positive note, the walk we have been taking to the horsies and back I measured by taking my scooter and it was 1.3 miles total. And a piece of cake walk. Oh with out any cake of course.

  1. don't fret the negative anti stuff. all the current data supports dr atkins findings. heck look at the diabetes diet sponsored by the ama he should get royalties. even jenyy craig uses the glycemic index now. unfortunately one single off plan thing can slow your loss to a crawl. (i know from experience!) just keep at it, you're doin great! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

  2. Good for you for skipping that second bowl of stew and stopping the eats. I know how frustrating it can be to not see the results you are hoping for... but stay the course.. and you'll see it work! BTW.. you can find pros and cons for EVERY diet out there.. just do what works for YOU.

    I loved your entertainment too! I don't know if I can look at a fry the same way ever again.

  3. Just wanted to come by and say I appreciate all your support recently. You're a good egg ;) Sorry that you had a bit of a hiccup, but I think you handled yourself pretty damn well in the aftermath. Let this episode pass and get right back on track! ;) I know you will! BTW, those entertainment pieces ran the gamut from seriously disturbing to effing hilarious, lol! Thanks for the laughs :)

  4. Go for an extra walk. Keep skipping that extra bit and the scale will move. It can't stay put forever but there are weeks sometimes it just sit there and stares at you but it will move. Have patience.

    Oh by the way, I just saw the little girl and dog pictures. A long time ago while driving truck I did this print in a cross stitch. I really love it.

  5. Haha, that Brownie Husband bit killed me. Some weeks the scale doesn't do what we think it will - especially if you've changed your foods or upped your workout lately, that could be it. Going for a walk is always a great solution - I usually regret snacking but I never regret a walk. ♥

  6. You are certainly creative. These pictures are quite funny. Sometimes we have to laugh at ourselves and then pick up where we left off. It slows us down but doesn't stop us.

  7. Checked at Walmart. They were all out of brownie husbands. Rats. That was so very funny! Hang in there. Low carb has been working for you. Critics are everywhere. There's always someone willing to be a spoiler, but don't you listen! Stay with it. You're a winner.

  8. Funny images, I felt like a donut breakdown the other day. We have good days and bad - the goal is to have 10 times more good than the bad. WE are worth it, you can do this.
