Challenges Update
I lost 3 lbs. 246
maintained to induction levels. It got easier the second day and on. Today since I weighed in and my mood is down, I ate a honey oat bar for breakfast. I kept in mind that I tend to license myself to cheating after a good weigh in, so I stopped at the carb filled health bar. It was healthy...come on!
I had a hard time sleeping last night. Weird dreams constructing stuff to ward off death and waking up with a remorseful woe. My daughter came to wake me she had nightmares as well. I am a vital part of her life and does not want me to leave and go to my mom. For me to leave now, she would have to quit school. My mom survived WWII she will be OK. I talked to her. My cousin Vince and his wife live in Palm Springs. My mom retired there. As many elegant women do. She is 81 and still drives. All that aerobics in her glory day...(always on a diet like me).
My sister will be cremated with little a do, but much sorrow. (if you missed the news just go back on the blog to yesterday's long saga of emotion).
I will not quit.
Reading book of Job again.
Still on the Je-diet. Perseverance.
A lot of cosmic turmoil coming my way and I am mentally equipped with a light saber and slashing away.

The Tao Of Metamorphisis
Status: I am still plateauing. Self inflicted. I keep grabbing the lunchmeat at night for a meaty snack. Ew processed salted to death and some are lips and buttholes, right? I need to look to water to fill that night urge gap. I am gaining focus.
The movie Warriors Of Virtue 1997 had a scene in the beginning where the main character, Ryan finds a cocoon in a jar in Chef Ming's apartment above the restaurant he works. Here is the conversation:
Ryan: What's this?
Chef Ming: Oh, I found that when I was about your age. It's a cocoon. I was on my way home from school. I saw it lying on the ground just sitting there moving around, something inside. So I got down on my hands and knees and I looked real close and I see this moth struggling to get out, but he couldn't do it. So I reached down and tore open the cocoon. Out he came. Takes of into the air and flies away. Then all of a sudden, down he came to the ground. Dead.
Ryan: Dead? What happened?
Chef Ming: I interrupted his journey. We all have cocoons, Ryan. It is the struggle to free ourselves that makes us whole and gives us the strength to fly.
Ming then shows Ryan a book he calls "Tao" (calling it his ancient Chinese recipe) and the story goes on in a nice family movie Fantasy with Ryan on his path/journey (literal meaning of Tao from the Chinese).
So as many spiritual roads lead to like conclusions...Tao has a quote similar to one I like from the Buddhist Dhammapada:
"He who overcomes others is strong, but he who overcomes himself is mighty".The idea of struggle and victory will be on my mind this week.
(Tao)
A victory over oneself is a bigger and a better victory than victory over thousands of people in a score of battles. Those who have achieved victory over other people can be defeated in future battles, but those who have achieved victory over themselves become victors forever.
(Dhammapada)
To the journey, bloggies! Bloggie love!

Have not been online much. Am about to miss the linky. Doing this on the ride home from Circus Circus.

Mid week
up two pounds...
My left leg is feeling rusty. Like I can walk on it, but when I bend it it hurts. It makes for very hard getting up and down. It feels like tendon issues opposed to cardiovascular. I do have warm feet and the capillaries or micro veins are not a popping up. And since my 20 month old is down there, I am on the floor a lot going up and down.
It went away then came back. I aggravated it by going on the bike again. I am trying not to make a big deal of it and go to the doctor...I still need to get my base ID in order. I called the base when I got here and the only guy in charge of ID's was rude and probing. If this leg issue persists...I will take care of it.
