Dream Shopping
So trying to keep my mojo strong. I decided to go "dream shopping". I wondered how I would like to dress when I get lean and then I stumbled on this shop called "Patty Women". There are some knock out tops. They go only to XL though. The above look sort of Lara Crofty without the pistols! I actually came across it by searching "boho blouses". I know! I know! I could dress Boho at any weight. Right now, though hell if I want to invest in something besides what I have been wearing. I am a Cinderella of sorts. I will be fine when the "Onederland" ball comes around. Then I will reward myself with a small fashion investment.
Memory recalls that even if I did get to the say mall store size range, I always had issues with the shirts due to my shoulders and large breasts. I think that I will learn a sewing trick that a friend knows (forgot the name after she repeated it even) merge or surge. You take the side seams and add a fabric you like. I would take this into consideration if it becomes an issue and I really really want it. I really really like to wear jeans and I really really like Patty Woman styles. Maybe I could request her upping her size range.
Another issue is that I never have gone strapless or backless in bras due to my breast size. I think once when I was in my twenties. So I researched that. There are YouTube video reviews and everything.
Main thing is that I was keeping my mind on my journey and my journey on my mind.
I am on top of it with my plan food wise. I am on and off on water.
Bloggie love

That first top is pretty freakin awesome and so in my rock star dreams!!!
ReplyDeleteThose really are pretty tops. Since I'm 50 I don't think it would work for me but I know my hubby wouldn't care my age, he'd love them too. Still wonder how to hold up the girls so they don't visit a bit lower then they use to.
ReplyDeleteTake care Bluezy. Have a blessed weekend!
I love those tops! My husband made me bookmark the site, even, LOL
ReplyDeleteI dress boho all the time (I can even get eccentric with it, since I'm an artist in Vermont. It's almost expected!) One of the problems I run into is my height (I'm tall), so I do a lot of shopping through softsurroundings.com (or softsurroundingsoutlet.com... eventually it all goes on sale, and sometimes you can get skirts and tops for $9-19) and they have all the sizes, from misses to plus, petite to tall.
I'm pretty busty myself, and I've found that camis are the way to go I often have to wear a bra with the bra cami, but it tends to look OK. For the ones you can't, they have those stick on bras, which oddly work, even with Ds like mine.
It is so cool your hubby got involved. I was wondering about those stick on bras. I need a bra always. Even when I was young. Every large woman I know wears cami or sleeveless...I have a hard time with it even when I was younger. Long wah wah story of exhausting esteem issues. LOL
DeleteThe camis are so comfortable though, once you start wearing them, you get addicted I think. The only real issue I have is that if I go with JUST a cami, the straps can start to cut into my shoulder, because I'm busty as well. So, that's usually why I wear a bra with them anyway. The stick ons, it's trial and error. I could one plastic one that works, but not for very long. The paper throw aways work better for me, I think because I'm a sweater, so those plastic ones would lose adhesion for me.
DeleteI am so thinking hard about getting an upper arm tattoo just so I will overcome my show my upper arm issues.
DeleteI guess we always want what we don't have. :) I have always wanted larger breasts. I am about a B cup. It doesn't match with the rest of my body because my stomach is where I carry most of my weight. I go bra-less all the time and no one can even tell. In fact I bought two new tank tops the other day that show off the tattoo on my shoulder and I can't wear a bra with either of them because of the way they are made. I guess there are some advantages to not having much boobage.
ReplyDeleteThat is right. I have not exposed my shoulder tat. When I got it I was in a hurry and pretty sure stoned back in 1978. Duh...my bra strap. And I paid 35 bucks for it. I had to sit and wait for Scotty from Scotty Tattoos to finish these brothers who were getting roosters with a hangman's noose tattooed to their calves. They were drunk and all proud about them. They said they will win a lot of money in bars.lol The other word for rooster and it is hanging below their knees?
DeleteThese tops are hawt!
