Day 62

Weigh in day for Week 1 STS.
Hooray! 5lbs.

Taking that picture I had to lean over my belly real quick as I grabbed the camera and hoped the digi numbers were not going to turn off.

I  noticed Challengers were doing lots of exercising and I felt low key on that aspect, so yesterdayI spent 2 hours at the Mall and 15 of that debating if I should play Infamous2 any longer on the PS3 demo at best buy and wondering if I could go there daily and play their kinect demo again (awful kid and mom thing I witnessed. Mother totally asking boy what he wants and willing to pay bucks for it and he does not want the state of the art Kinect, he just wants a 360. Adopt me lady). I wasted the Best Buy guy's time asking him questions and showing obvious signs that I don't get out much. My hair was wild from the wind on the scooter and I was dressed in an over sized thermal shirt and mid length black cotton shorts. That compiled by my tattoos and maybe a hint of Ketosis odor...I think I scared some of the customers. Quasichubo says " I am Human. I must leave the bell tower some times." But seriously, I saw fashion. I want to go back to being a fashion wearer and feel good about it. And look what I found as well:
Chuggy Jack will get to ride. Buying it payday.

When I got home I let the kids get in front of the scooter seat (holding them between my legs) and operate the throttle. They love it. It is like driving, but my hand is just right there and they are slowing down when I ask them. We checked out the horsies about 3 blocks away within our Mobi estates, though.  Then I ate dinner and took the kids to the corner store. We found a park close by just beyond the corner store 2 blocks. Big plans this morning to walk there and hang out until lunch. I am going to walk as much as possible and I so want to get a step counter, as well.

Before I leave for the morning, it will be coffee and browsing the challengers Week 1 results. I already know it is gonna be really good, having browsed through out the week. Every one has their minds set on Slimmer This Summer.
I edited in my menu for the day and it has gone past my carb limit. I have a whole line of reasoning. I was not aware a banana had sooooo many carbs. So it made my whole come out pretty much carbs. I swear I feel it in my ears..if that makes any sense. I think it is my taste buds dancing to real carbs? LOL. So it is the first day of the next week, so I have all week to make up. I really didn't crave carbs I just love bananas.

  1. That's a huge one week loss. Congrats! I never lose like that...well, okay, the one time I very briefly tried South Beach(I lastedl ike 9 days), I did lose 7 pounds that week...but that was it.

You sound like a really fun granny. Full of humor and childlike fun.

What exactly is ketosis odor like? I don't live with anyone who's done induction...so I do wonder...

    Happy new week!

  4. Ketosis gives you bad breath and mine is not really that great to begin with. I just didn't spray myself with my customary fruity body spray and feeling self conscious and way under dressed. It is the nature of a large woman hiding in baggy clothes...I guess.

  6. OMG! You had a good story! Reading through your blog and I THINK you are doing low carb right? I am tossing that back and forth in my mind right now. WW is a good program but I have not lost in 3months. I started off at a bang last year and since Points Plus started trickled down to up and down same 3 or 4 lbs. I know I have carb issues but haven't had guts to just do it. Highest was 240 and I'm now at 206. I am very glad to meet you and adding your blog to my blog favs. We can do this!! Check on you this Friday.

  9. well done on your weight loss, that's a big number! Awesome on you going out to get exercise, but don't let other people's schedules pressure you. I get most my 'exercise' through the number of steps I do while at work and stuff, rather than an organised time to do it.

  10. Woo Hoo, congrats on that. 5 pounds in a week is a lot. Picture 5 lbs of butter. That's a lot! So happy for you. Sounds like you had a fun day at the mall. Good for you!

  11. Thank you all for stopping by and supporting me. Wow that linky is long it will take me about two days to get to all without conflicting with my daily what evers.

As far as I am concerned, everybody that has chosen to diet and become healthier is a winner. The StS has resource me to so many wonderful and kindred folks! Thanks so much!

  13. 5 lbs is WONDERFUL. I'm jealous! Haha!

Keep up the excellent work! You'll be astounded by how easy it really is to shed when you're doing all the right steps (which you are).

And don't feel down over the exercise. Whatever you can do, do that. Don't feel like you need to run ten miles and/or do an hour of weight lifting. I got really discouraged in the beginning about exercise, but I eased into it and my endurance built up and I was able to do stuff longer. It'll happen to you. Don't lose sight of that. And don't ever feel ashamed of what activities you're doing to get fit either. I started with Wii Sports! :)

    You've got this, babe!

  15. Holy, calorie counting! 673? That's awesome. Hmmmm if only I could be so dedicated.

  16. Great job on the 5 lbs lost! 673 calories is awesome, as well. I can only get as low as the 800's, so far. Exercise? Just move your body in some way to get started. Anything counts (in my book, anyway).

  17. I really am not thinking about the calories. I see what I put on the food diary and think that is way enough to eat. At my age it is a whole lot more than a can of catfood, you know the hardship of the aging boomers....and all.LOL
